Interestingly, these artists are known for their pieces being fun or funny, but these aren't pieces that you would typically hang in your living room. The Ancient Egyptians, however, buried anthropomorphic depictions with their most important rulers and surrounded their temples with one of the most recognizable Egyptian symbols; the Sphinx.
The difference between ancient and modern cultures might seem obvious, we just evolved intellectually and became more civilized, right? But really we know just as little about the afterlife and about God (or Gods) as we did then. Why did we gradually start eliminating other species from our afterlife? Does it not stand to reason that if we share this life with nature then we might share the afterlife as well? Regardless of this logic, it is not uncommon to hear a concerned parent describing a lovely, yet separate "doggy heaven".
